1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)

명도 대비(최소)

Summary

Body text needs at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background; large text (18pt, or bold 14pt and up) needs 3:1. The test is whether low-vision users — and anyone on a screen in bright sunlight — can still read it. Logos and disabled controls are exempt.

Common failures

  • Light gray helper text (around `#999`) on white, landing below even 3:1.
  • Overlaying text on an image without checking contrast across the image's lighter regions.

Corresponding KWCAG 2.2 items

  • 5.4.1 Contrast of Text Content
