Summary
A focused element must not be entirely hidden behind other content. New in WCAG 2.2, it targets focus disappearing behind sticky headers or cookie banners. A focus indicator that exists but cannot be seen solves nothing.
Common failures
- A sticky header completely covering the element the user just tabbed to.
