2.2.1 Timing Adjustable

시간 조절 가능

Summary

Time limits must be adjustable, extendable, or removable. Otherwise users who read or type more slowly lose their work through no fault of their own. Exceptions are narrow — real-time auctions or timed exams, where the limit is essential.

Common failures

  • Sessions expiring without warning, wiping out a partially completed form.
  • Offering an extension prompt but only allowing a few seconds to respond to it.
